Our push notification feature gives you a ton of flexibility for when and how you message your users. If you have an existing app, you can use our UI for greater control over push notifications sent through your app. If you're interested in learning more about integrating with your existing app, please contact our support team. Here's more about how our push UI works, and how you can use it to schedule notifications, set up Geofences and Mobile Beacons, and send your users to specific screens inside your app.
From the Messaging tab in your dashboard, you'll be able to schedule and send notifications to your users. All of our plans allow for unlimited notifications, including the ability to schedule push notifications in advance.
If you're on our Small Business or Enterprise plan, you'll have access to more specific notifications, including the ability to send users to a specific page in your app, and deliver push notifications using Geofences and Mobile Beacons.
Here's a closer look at how scheduling and sending notifications works.
To create a new push notification, you'll start by creating a title and message for the notification. By default, we send your users to the launch page of your app, but if you're on a Small Business or Enterprise plan, you can also send users to a specific screen of your app.
Once your notification is ready, you'll be able to click "Next" and set up scheduling options.
From here, you'll be able to choose how your message is delivered, as well as when it's delivered. Small Business and Enterprise customers can send push notifications using a Geofence or a Mobile Beacon. These location based push notifications can also send your users to a specific screen in your app.
First, select the time your notification should be delivered. If you select "Now", your notification will be sent immediately, and your users will receive it as soon as they open your app.
You can also schedule your notification in advance. Here's what you'll see if you want to schedule a future notification.
When you choose to send a notification at a future time, you'll select both the date and time to send your message. Once you click "Next", you'll be able to preview your notification, and send yourself a test message.
Once you've created your message, you'll see a summary of your notification settings, and you'll be able to send yourself a test message before putting your notification live.
You'll also be able to see a complete history of all your notifications in your History section, as well as cancelling any scheduled notifications that haven't been sent yet.
