What's your cancellation policy?
You can cancel at any time and won't be billed for subsequent months. No hard feelings.
Do I need my own Apple Developer account?
You will need a developer account to deploy your app to the App Store or Google Play. If you need help purchasing or setting up a developer account, our team is happy to help.
Is there App Press branding in my app?
Any app you build has no indication it was created in App Press.
Can I preview before I publish?
Yes, you can preview your app using our mobile app, App Press Now. You can also invite anyone to preview your app by generating a shareable URL with App Press. Anyone you invite will be prompted to download App Press Now to preview your app on their own device.
App Press Now is a free app available for both iOS and Android.
Do I pay a publishing fee for every app? Every update?
Publishing is free with a Small Business or Enterprise account. With a Designer account, you pay for every app you publish. The publishing fee covers delivery to both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. A publishing fee is incurred each time you ask App Press to submit your app to the app stores, or ask to receive the final application file directly for you to distribute yourself.
You do not pay for content updates made to your published app via App Press’ CMS.
Who is listed as the publisher in the app stores?
You (or your company) will be listed as the publisher in each app store, with no indication that App Press was used to build your app. This is because we require our customers to have an Apple or Google developer account to deploy their app to the App Store or Google Play.
How long is the approval process once my app is submitted?
Approval times can vary depending upon the app's content and complexity. We recommend customers plan for 1 - 2 weeks in the submission process. Apple makes a reasonable effort to finish reviews within a week. However, if your app is rejected, you may experience a week long delay for the next review.
Google Play does not have a detailed review process. Once your app is uploaded to Google Play, it's usually available within an hour.
I've created an app with App Press. Can I download it to edit with other software?
With App Press, you are not able to download, review or edit your app’s native code base.
What happens to my app if I stop paying?
If you cancel your subscription, your app’s content will stop displaying to your users. You can choose to publish a bundled app. Bundled apps will continue to work even if you cancel your subscription.
However, bundled apps cannot receive new content or push messages from the App Press CMS tool. Bundled apps are also larger in file size, because we package all of your app’s content in the initial download. The App Press team is happy to help you pick the right option for your app needs.
Does App Press support in-app purchases?
Yes, App Press supports in-app purchasing.
Can I create and manage forms with App Press?
Yes. The simplest way to insert a form into App Press is to use Google Forms, Formstack, or Wufoo in an App Press embed layer.
