Carniceria Guanajuato is a grocery store and restaurant located in Indianapolis. The grocery store attracts shoppers from across the city due to their all-in-one shopping experience. Carniceria features weekly specials on meat, produce, dry goods, and even restaurant entrees but they wanted to expand their visibility in the industry. Tired of relying on weekly print ads to attract customers, Carniceria GTO turned to App Press to build a mobile app.
Because Carniceria GTO is a Mexican grocery store with a large amount of English speaking customers, the app needed to be bi-lingual. App Press worked with Carniceria GTO’s team to build a bi-lingual mobile experience that all customers could enjoy. In one month the Carniceria Guanajuato app was built and published to the app stores.

The app features weekly specials that are only available through the mobile app. Additionally, the app features menu items from the restaurant so customers can quickly place carry-out orders on the go.
In the first two weeks that it was made available, the Carniceria Guanajuato app was downloaded by more than 400 users. The app is promoted through in-store promotional materials and radio ads. Carniceria GTO has already experienced a great amount of success due to the app alone and they are planning to add new features in the coming year.

Carnicería Guanajuato es un supermercado y restaurant con tres locaciones en Indianápolis. El supermercado atrae a clientes de todas partes de la ciudad por su formato de todo-en-una tienda. Carnicería Guanajuato promociona especiales de la semana en sus departamentos de carne, vegetales, productos secos, y su restaurante , pero quería ampliar el alcance de sus promociones. Cansados de confiar en los anuncios semanales por radio y papel para atraer a los clientes, Carnicería GTO se comunicó con App Press para construir una aplicación móvil.
Carnicería GTO es una tienda de productos mexicanos con una gran cantidad de clientes que hablan inglés, así que la aplicación tenía que ser bilingüe. App Press trabajó con el equipo de Carnicería GTO para crear una experiencia móvil bilingüe accesible a todos sus clientes. En un mes, la aplicación fue construida y publicada en las tiendas de Android y Apple.
La aplicación cuenta con ofertas semanales que sólo están disponibles a través de la aplicación móvil. Además, la aplicación ofrece el menú del restaurante, para que los clientes puedan ordenar para llevar.
En las primeras dos semanas disponibles, la aplicación “Carnicería Guanajuato” fue descargada por más de 400 usuarios. La aplicación se promueve a través de material promocional en las tiendas y anuncios de radio. La aplicación ha sido exitosa y ya están proyectando agregar nuevas funciones a su app este año.
